Two ways to move together

Pick the one that fits.

A season of friendly competition, or one big race morning.

A sample big-screen board for a made-up organization, Tidewren Health. Five teams race from the Miami office to the Orlando office, about 235 miles on Florida's Turnpike, each shown as its own car on a real map of Florida. Finance leads with 31.4 miles per person and has passed Yeehaw Junction; small round pins mark the Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Port St. Lucie and Yeehaw Junction stamps, and the Latest stamp card shows Yeehaw Junction. Kissimmee and the Orlando finish are ahead. This week: North clinic, plus 6.4 miles a person.

5k and fun runs

Running a 5k or a fun run? Make it a month, not a morning.

A city turkey trot, a school fun run, a company 5k or a charity walk. Ironstride adds the weeks before race day and a big screen on the day itself.

  1. Up to 4 weeks beforeEveryone who signs up moves along one shared road to your start line, like your town to the beach. Walkers, runners and riders all count, together.
  2. Race dayThe race-day big screen goes up at the finish. People who can’t be there record their 5K in the app from anywhere, and it counts in the results.
  3. AfterA patch for everyone who takes part and a recap with the totals, ready for next year.

Keep your sign-ups where they are

Already use a registration site? Keep it. Link to it from your Ironstride event, and we add the road to race day, the race-day results and the big screen.

What we’re building next

Sign-up without the app, race-day check-in and finish-line results, so people without a phone can join in too. Tell us what your event needs and help shape it.

Questions

Race day questions.

Can we use a one-day event as a month-long workplace challenge?

The road to race day is a warm-up for a real, in-person race: everyone moves together toward your start line, with no teams or rankings. If you want teams, standings and weekly winners, pick the organization challenge: $5 a member, or $1 a member a month with the yearly plan. Race day is included with your challenge, and an event you bought in the last 12 months can count toward a yearly plan.

Why is a challenge more than an event?

An event is one great morning with a short shared road before it. A challenge is up to 8 weeks of teams, standings, weekly winners, the office TV board and a Monday email for you, and it can end with a race day, included. Most workplaces pick the yearly plan: $1 a member a month.

We’re running a virtual race. Do we get a road?

A virtual-only race gets a 1-week countdown road. Add an in-person location, even a small one, and everyone, near or far, gets the road for up to 4 weeks. Remote or hybrid team? The organization challenge works anywhere.

How long is the road to race day?

Up to 4 weeks for in-person races. The organizer picks Off, 2, 3 or 4 weeks, and the road always ends at your start line on race morning.
